World Premiere Launch - Adelaide

Impossible Music will be available on or shortly after July 1st. The good people of Adelaide, South Australia will have a unique opportunity to celebrate its existence several days ahead of schedule: June 28, to be precise, which gives you lots of notice. Copies will be available for purchase, and much more.

If this isn’t the launch of the year, I will eat my fez.

There’ll be a performance of John Cage’s classic 4’33” by acclaimed pianist Gabriella Smart, official words from the divine Vikki Wakefield, a live painting by the brilliant Thom Buchanan, and some visual “music” written by me especially for the occasion, with Auslan interpreters kindly provided by Sign Language Australia. Plus drinks and nibbles!

The event is hosted and sponsored by the J M Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice at the University of Adelaide. The bookseller will be Dymocks Adelaide.

The venue is the Hartley Concert Hall. I’m hoping to fill it.
